Gura Gladeau, a First Nation artist with roots deeply planted in the Flying Dust First Nation of Treaty 6 Saskatchewan, has carved a niche for herself in the world of multimedia and art. Since graduating from Vancouver Film School in 2016, Gura has seamlessly blended her skills in digital design with her passion for photography, creating a diverse portfolio that speaks volumes of her visual gifts.
In her time, Gura has cultivated a thriving photography business, capturing the essence of her subjects with a unique and captivating style. Her journey into social media management began with a fashion brand, where she quickly discovered her knack for content creation. This newfound passion led her to work with social media agencies, developing customized content strategies for her clients and showcasing her talent for visual concepts.
Recognizing the stark lack of Indigenous representation in the commercial industry, her work is featured in collaboration with content creator Shayla Stonechild — generating Indigenous-led content for renowned brands such as Sephora, Joe Fresh, Indigo, RW&CO and Uniqlo — proving that change is not only possible but necessary. Gura continues to consult with Indigenous businesses of all sizes in their creative direction and marketing.
